The Interior Design Process

At The ARTEC Group, we believe in making the design process as relaxed and enjoyable for our customers.  Below is a preview into how the design process works.

Phase One: Consultation


The Consultation Phase takes place at your location (home) and consists of a question and answer session with the designers. This is where you can describe all of your design needs.

Some of the questions we may ask; regard color, fabric, furniture styles, cabinet designs, and other preferences associated with your design needs. Ultimately, we will use this information to help put together your complete design scheme…so feel free to tell us all the details.

We then take measurements and photographs of all areas involved in the design. We also ask to see all of the major areas of your home even if you are not requesting our assistance in those areas. Our goal is to create continuity in your home.


Phase Two: Presentation


We will begin the creative process by developing a design individually suited to your needs. A CAD (Computer Aided Drawing) floor plan is created for your design areas using the measurements taken during the consultation. After a few weeks we will then set up an appointment and present you with the comprehensive design. Your design will include items such as fabrics, finishes, colors, samples, furniture, window treatments, CAD floorplan, anything that has been chosen for your particular project. At this time we will also have a quote with detailed pricing for each specific item.


Phase Three: Ordering and Production


When Phase 1 & 2 are complete, you are encouraged to look over and analyze the design and ask any questions. When you are ready to move forward into Phase 3, you will be giving us permission to begin the ordering and production process, which will culminate into the final installation of your project.
